Herbal Remedies

I'm a paragraph. Click here to add your own text and edit me. I’m a great place for you to tell a story and let your users know a little more about you.

Herbs can be used for dogs, cats, horses, ponies and many other animal species.  Medicinal herbs contain a vast spread of pharmacologically-active ingredients and each herb has its own unique combination and properties.

Many herbs contain ingredients which provide the whole plant with several actions, combined in the one medicine.  Dr Plavin will select an herb with the required action or a careful combination of medicinal herbs with the desired properties (virtues - benefits).

Chiropractic treatment involves correcting subluxations of the neck and spine to help bring about proper blood flow and nervous system input.

Chiropractic care is used for lameness, event or sports injuries; injuries from a fall or slip, muscle spasms and nerve problems, post surgical care and general maintenance of joint and spinal health.

Working dogs, agility dogs, performance horses even the couch potato dog benefit from routine chiropractic care.

Acupuncture

Using a 3,000 year old Chinese method, careful placement of the needles used in acupuncture stimulate the body’s ability to heal itself. Acupuncture can be used

to treat a range of problems in all animals such as arthritis, traumatic nerve injury, paralysis, gastrointestinal illnesses (including incontinence),

immunological, respiratory, and conditions related to aging.

Most animals relax so completely while undergoing this therapy they often fall asleep.

As consumers, dog and cat owners are presented with a myriad of choices when selecting a dog or cat food. Unfortunately, most owners buy a food because it is well marketed, the one having the best commercials or printed advertisements.

Avoid foods with any artificial preservatives such as BHA, BHT, ethoxyquin, or propylene glycol.  Look for foods that contain meats, or meat meals and whole grains. Simple foods (i.e. foods that have fewer ingredients) are better because they are easier to digest. The body has difficulty digesting multiple different protein and grain sources at one time, being unable to secrete the necessary enzymes.
